About the Scholarship Program
Gulf Winds Scholarships
Gulf Winds believes in the power of education and is proud to support and celebrate accomplished students. Every year, we award five scholarships to a diverse group of young people.
These scholarships, with varying award amounts of up to $10,000, recognize deserving students pursuing their unique passions.
If you're a high school senior, a student planning to attend trade school, or a student currently enrolled in higher education courses seeking a career in the medical field, we encourage you to apply!
How to Apply
1. Register
Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.
2. Login
Login with your email and password.
3. Create
Create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a 
appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the 
icon in the Application Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Application as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.

Before getting started, make sure you have these documents ready!
- A copy of your most recent academic transcripts.
- At least one (1) and not more than two (2) academic letters of recommendation from authorities at your school such as teachers, principal, or guidance counselor.
- At least one (1) and not more than two (2) letters of recommendation from individuals, other than family members, who have known you for at least two (2) years.
- An essay (750 words or less) answering one of the following prompts:
- How do you plan to use your education to address specific challenges in your community?
- If selected as a recipient of this scholarship, how will the award impact your college experience?

Please note that all applicants must be Gulf Winds members in good standing and be the primary account holder at the time of application submission.
